Jimmie Purvis, Archivist
Jimmie Purvis began his career with the National Archives and Records Administration in 1993, when he accepted a position as an archivist at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum. He has served as an archivist at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum since 2002. Jimmie is a music fanatic, and he regularly writes reviews of concerts that he has attended. He became enamored with “rock ‘n roll” while attending college at the University of Mississippi in the late 1970’s. He is particularly passionate about the career and music of Bob Dylan, and he has seen Dylan in concert on more than 20 occasions.
