This collection consists of email correspondence to and from Robert Z. Lawrence. Robert Z. Lawrence served on the Council of Economic Advisors from 1999-2001. As a member of the CEA, he worked on many issues concerning international and domestic trade. He provided advice for the President and senior White House officials, participated in the interagency process, assisted in writing the annual Economic Report of the President and CEA white papers, drafted testimony for the CEA Chair, contributed to the International Roundups for the President's Weekly Economic Briefing, and attended world trade conferences. The emails in this collection span the months of March through December of 1999. They include many routine email concerning meeting arrangements, hiring CEA staff, lunch appointments, scheduling conference calls, staff farewells, phone messages, and international and trade conference arrangements.
