This Mandatory Declassification Review request was for correspondence between President Clinton and German Chancellor Helmut Kohl between January 20, 1993 and October 27, 1998. Documents being released consist of correspondence between the two head of state, as well as transmittal and background memos from NSC staff on this correspondence. The letters address a number of topics important to United States-German relations, including trade, terrorism, the Mideast Peace Process, Bosnia, and NATO expansion.
