This collection consists of records related to President Clinton’s visit to Vietnam, November 16-19, 2000. President Clinton was the first U.S. President to officially visit Hanoi since the withdrawal of American combat troops in 1975. It contains correspondence and memoranda from private individuals, businesses and cabinet members requesting permission to accompany the President on his visit and background information and facts about the population, language, people, religion, government, industries, environment, history, economics, education and culture of both Brunei and Vietnam
