This collection consists the records maintained by Gabrielle Bushman, a White House speech writer from 1995 to 1996. It contains memorandums, speeches, speech drafts, remarks, talking points, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and Ms. Bushman’s handwritten notebooks. These materials concern the 1995 and 1996 State of the Union addresses, 1995 appropriations bill veto and 1996 federal budget, crime and law enforcement, political events and fundraisers for the 1996 elections, 1996 Summer Olympics, healthcare, economic issues, education, women’s issues, and videotaped messages from President Clinton to a variety of organizations.
