Corporation for Public Broadcasting - Collection Finding Aid

This collection consists of records related to funding levels of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). It contains correspondence from concerned citizens, response letters from the President, memorandums between White House staff about the appropriate funding levels of the CPB, and annual bound reports from the CPB submitted to the President. Email from this collection consists primarily of the 1997 Omnibus Budget. Other email includes congressional reports or news reports concerning the federal budget. A few emails concern drafts of the President’s written response to questions concerning proposals by Congress to de-fund the CPB.
