This collection consists of records relating to a June 11, 1999 telephone call between Turkish President Suleyman Demirel and President Clinton. On June 10, 1999, President Clinton attended a press briefing at the White House. During that press briefing, Clinton discussed the Military Technical Agreement on Kosovo and took questions from reporters. He also thanked several NATO partners for their role in Kosovo but did not mention Turkey. On June 11, 1999, Clinton called Turkish Prime Minister Ecevit and Turkish President Demirel.
