The collection contains records on a telephone call that took place between President Clinton and Japanese Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto on December 9, 1997 discuss the ongoing climate change negotiations in Kyoto. The records in this collection consist of email discussions regarding preparation and logistics for the call, a transcript of the press breifing afterwards, the scheduling proposal for the call, and transmittal materials for the resulting memorandum of telephone conversation (telcon).
