This collection contains records regarding Ambassador John C. Kornblum and the conflicts in the former Yugoslavia from 1997 to 2001. During this period, Ambassador Kornblum served as the United States Ambassador to Germany. Previously, he had been the Assistant Secretary of Sate for European Affairs and Special Envoy to the Balkans and was heavily involved in the development of the 1995 Dayton Peace Accord. The collections consists of National Security Council (NSC) Cables and Emails regarding cooperation with Germany on matters related to the former Yugoslavia, particularly the Kosovo War.
