This collection consist of email concerning the Commodity Futures Modernization Act. It includes email correspondence containing testimonies, memoranda, meeting arrangements, legislative drafts, press releases, Statements of Administration Position, news articles, Legislative Referral Memoranda, and weekly reports to Leon Panetta and President Clinton in reference to commodity futures. The testimonies include that of Assistant Secretary Lewis A. Sachs before the House Subcommittee on Research, Risk Management and Specialty Crops, on June 14, 2000 and that of Lawrence H. Summers on the Commodity Futures Modernization Act before the Senate Agriculture and Banking Committee on June 21, 2000.
