Description
Diane Wood was appointed to two positions during the Clinton administration. She was nominated and confirmed as a judge on the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit on June 30th, 1995. Prior to her confirmation she served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General for international, appellate, and policy in the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice from 1993-1995. This collection consists of correspondence from the public regarding their approval or objection to the nomination of Diane Wood to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. Also includes resumes, articles authored by Wood, questionnaires, and press releases in preparation for her March 1995 nomination and her appointment to the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice. She is was also the subject of memos sent to President Clinton recommending her for the position of Judge of the 7th Circuit.
