This collection consists of records related to Laura D’Andrea Tyson and United States Department of Labor. Ms. Tyson worked as Chair of the U.S. President’s Council of Economic Advisers from February 1993 until February 1995. She then became Director of the National Economic Council and served in that position until December 1996. The files contain correspondence, memos, charts, speech remarks, and reports. The materials include Producer and Consumer Price Indexes, Productivity and Costs reports, Employment and Unemployment reports, Employment Cost Indexes and State Unemployment rates. These materials cover topics which include consumer price index issues, income trends, job tenure, economy, employment, education, and job training.
