Description

This collection consists of records from the files of John Beyrle, National Security Council (NSC) Director for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasian Affairs from 1993 through 1996. Beyrle’s responsibilities at the NSC included head of state communications and meetings, lower level contacts with foreign officials, Congressional correspondence, and the Administration’s response to the political instability in Russia in 1993, foreign aid, and preparations for the President’s 1995 trip to Moscow. The collection contains Beyrle’s systematically processed Chron files, which include correspondence, memorandums, briefing materials, press materials, and notes.
