This collection consists of records from Julie Mason, who was special assistant to White House Press Secretary Mike McCurry from 1995 to 1997. In May of 1997 she became Deputy Press Secretary for First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. She was responsible for responding to media inquiries regarding the First Lady, the White House residence, and major White House events. The files contain notes, correspondence, news clippings, faxes, resumes, and books on Medicare, interview and appearance requests, child nutrition programs, health care, domestic violence, and the First Lady’s book tour.
