This collection consists of records from the files of Terry Edmonds from the Office of Speechwriting. Edmonds was the first African American Chief Speechwriter in a presidential administration. Topics in this collection include race relations, education, veterans, youth, gun control, and senior citizens. The speech drafts in this collection are for State of the Union speeches, radio addresses, commencement speeches and special events. In addition to speeches and speech drafts, the records include letters, memorandum, schedules, reports, articles, and clippings.
