These digitized documents are found in file titled Declassified Documents Concerning Haiti. President Carter followed a telephone conversation about the situation in Haiti with President Clinton with a letter written on October 22, 1993. After receiving the letter, memos were exchanged within the National Security Council, concluding with a recommendation from Anthony Lake suggesting that President Clinton reply to Carter's suggestions. The correspondence also includes drafts of President Clinton reply to Carter on November 8, 1993.
