Description

This collection consists of the speechwriting records of Carolyn Curiel. Curiel joined the White House Executive Office as a speechwriter to President Clinton in 1993. In 1995, she was promoted to Special Assistant and Senior Presidential Speechwriter to President Clinton. The records in this collection consist of copies of speeches and speech drafts, talking points, memoranda, background material, correspondence, reports, handwritten notes, articles, clippings, presidential schedules, and resumes. Most of the material contained in this collection was used to assist in writing speeches. Many of the speech drafts are heavily annotated with additions or deletions.
