Description

Samir Afridi's speechwriting collection consists of memoranda, correspondence, news articles, background materials, handwritten notes, press releases, copies of speeches, and talking points. Afridi served as Speechwriter and Special Assistant to the President from September 1999 to January 2001. The records are all related to the writing of speeches given by President Clinton from 1999 to 2001 on a variety of subjects such as education, the environment, disability legislation, and civil rights.
