This collection consists of the records of Devorah Adler from her time in the Domestic Policy Council. Adler was Assistant Director for Health Policy from 1998 to the end of the Clinton Administration. This series highlights health care topics relating to Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program), bioterrorism, alternative medicine, the Patient’s Bill of Rights, prescription drugs and labeling, privacy, the Medicare Commission, medical errors, TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families), and the Balanced Budget Refinement Act. The records include reports, press releases, schedules of Chris Jennings and the President, fact sheets, handwritten notes, memoranda, draft legislation, articles, emails, faxes, publications, and correspondence addressed to Devorah Adler or Chris Jennings from Congress, non-profit organizations, health care interest groups, private citizens, and federal agencies—specifically the Health Care Financing Administration and the Department of Health and Human Services.
