Kente Robe

After delivering remarks to the people of Ghana in Accra’s Independence Square, President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton received robes woven of kente cloth as gifts from President Jerry John Rawlings and First Lady Konadu Agyeman Rawlings. President Clinton also received a drum as a gift during this trip. The drum of wood and animal hide is carved with traditional Ghanian designs.
