Scope and Content
The materials in FOIA 2010-0173-F are a systematic body of documents responsive to the topic of the
FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials.
FOIA request 2010-0173-F contains records relating to Sven Kraemer. No records were found on his
father, Fritz Kraemer. Sven Kraemer has a long career advising and making policy in the field of
national security and defense. From the 1960s to the 1980s, he served in various positions at the Office
of the Secretary of Defense, as a National Security Council (NSC) and U.S. Senate staffer and, later, as
Director of Arms Control at the NSC during the Reagan administration.
FOIA request 2010-0173-F consists entirely of electronic records in the form of cables and emails. The
NSC Automated Records Management System [Email] contains emails of WAVES appointments for
upcoming vistors to the White House. The NSC Cable, Email, and Records Management Systems
contains a cable on the restructuring of the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and
Development) Committee on Information, Computers and Communications Policy and an email
regarding references on behalf of an NSC employee.
