(44 USC 22) and therefore records may be restricted in whole or in part in accordance with legal

Photographs in this collection that were prepared by officials of the United States government as part of
their official duties are in the public domain. Researchers are advised to consult the copyright law of the
United States (17 USC 101), which governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of
copyrighted material.
Provenance
Official records of William Jefferson Clinton’s presidency are housed at the Clinton Presidential Library
and administered by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) under the provisions of
the Presidential Records Act (PRA).

Scope and Content
The materials in FOIA 2008-0211-F are a selective, not necessarily all inclusive, body of documents
responsive to the topic of the FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials.
FOIA request 2008-0211-F contains photographs from the White House Photograph Office.
The first part of the collection includes a contact sheet containing photographs from October 20, 1995.
The contact sheet shows staffer Jay Footlik on-board Air Force One en-route to Iowa at a conference
table alone
The second part of the collection includes a contact sheet containing photographs from November 20,
1995. The contact sheet shows President Clinton dropping by Debi Schiff’s birthday party in the Outer
Oval office. President Clinton talks with Debbie Schiff, Stephanie Streett, Wendy Smith, Jay Footlik,
and others.

�The third part of the collection includes a contact sheet containing photographs from May 21, 1996. The
contact sheet shows President Clinton talking with Jay Footlik & Stephen Goodin in the hallway of the
White House Residence.
The fourth part of the collection includes a contact sheet containing photographs from July 26, 1996.
The contact sheet shows President Clinton being briefed by Jay Footlik, Leon Panetta, David Satterfield,
and Vince Showalter in the Oval office, and President Clinton talking with Jay Footlik, and a woman
outside of Room 450, in the Old Executive Office Building. In addition, the contact sheet shows
President Clinton taping his weekly radio address in the Oval office. At the radio address President
Clinton greets guests and talks with Jay Footlik, Leon Panetta, Rebecca Cameron, and George
Stephanopoulos.
The fifth part of the collection includes a contact sheet containing photographs from December 5, 1996.
The contact sheet shows President Clinton participating in a Hanukkah event. President Clinton
participates in the lighting of the menorah with the children from the Temple Sinai. The children lead
the ceremony with the spinning of the dreidel and singing of traditional songs at the ceremony. Also on
the contact sheet are photographs of President Clinton being briefed by Danny Wexler, Alexis Herman,
Jay Footlik, and Nancy Hernreich in the Oval Office Dining Room.
The sixth part of the collection includes a contact sheet containing photographs from December 9, 1996.
The contact sheet shows President Clinton greeting Jay Footlik at a Christmas reception in the Blue
Room.
The seventh part of the collection includes a contact sheet containing photographs from December 17,
1996. The contact sheet shows President Clinton greeting the staff of the Office of Public Liaison in the
Oval office. Participants include: Alexis Herman, Ben Johnson, Flo McAfee, Jay Footlik, and others.
The eighth and final part of the collection includes a contact sheet containing photographs from July 15,
1997. The contact sheet shows President Clinton greeting Jay Footlik and a friend of Mr. Footlik in the
Oval office.
System of Arrangement
Records that were responsive to this FOIA request were found in one collection area and one series—
Clinton Presidential Records: Photographs of the White House Photograph Office, and the series
therein—Photographs Relating to the Clinton Administration. Processing is done at the Folder/Contact
sheet level.
