Dear Ms.
r:
c;, .
The holidays are always a difficult time for me, I think back to all the
friends who shoul4: be here but are gone. I miss Michael's crazy
Hanukkah gifts, I long for Susan's dreaded eggnog and my body aches
to disco dance all New Year's Eve with Paul.

Thank you for your support and friendship in 1994, on behalf of the
board and staff of thp. National Minority AIDS Council, please know
we couldn't do it without you. Somewhere in the craziness of this
epidemic, we find the strength to carry on. A critical part of that
strength comes from your support of our work.

Rather then send out holiday cards this year, we decided to send out
copies of our Strategic Planning for AIDS Service Organizations: A
Practical Guide and Workbook. This is the kind of tool that NMAC
provides to frontline workers in this epidemic, because unfortunately,
I think we're going to be here for a couple more years.
A highlight for me;.Jn 1994 was sitting with Mrs. Martin Luther King
prior to her keyno~~ at the National Skills Building Conference. In her
remarks Mrs. King'said "The shame of AIDS belongs not to people
with AIDS, but to those who :would deny their humanity." Thank you
for working for huma_n_i.;..tl---__
