This collection consists of photographs of Janet Yellen. During the Clinton Administration, Mrs. Yellen was an appointed member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors from August 12th, 1994 to February 17th, 1997, and then she served as Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers from February 18th, 1997 to August 3rd, 1999. Janet Yellen participated primarily in briefings & meetings with advisors and members of Congress in the Oval Office and Cabinet Room pertaining to the budget and the economy. Mrs. Yellen would also appear alongside President William Jefferson Clinton during press remarks on the budget and the economy. Mrs. Yellen attended select major events including the signing of the Balanced Budget Act, a trip to Beijing, China, arrival ceremonies for Premier Zhu Rongji of China, and the Rongji State Dinner
