Description
An account of the resource
Finding aids at the Clinton Presidential Library contain a detailed description of the collection including the total number of pages or photos and length of video and audio recordings. Finding aids also include background information of the collection’s topic and details on the record type (ex: email, memorandum, briefing book, Betacam video, audio cassette etc). <br /><br />Finding aids describe collections at the box and folder level, and include a folder title list and information about the arrangement of the collection. <br /><br /><strong>Please note the majority of collections have not yet been scanned nor made available online.</strong>

An account of the resource
This collection consists of records from George Stephanopoulos’ files relating to communications and press strategy. Mr. Stephanopoulos began serving as de facto Press Secretary at the White House giving the daily press briefings. Later in 1993, he became the White House Communications Director and later became Senior Advisor to the President for Policy and Strategy. In 1995, he was Senior Advisor to the President and Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff for Policy. The Subject Files and the Chief of Staff files contain correspondence, memos, notes, speeches, talking points and press clippings. These records include material on affirmative action, budget, community empowerment, education, economy, human radiation experiments, taxes, and trade. The Communication files contain daily briefings and are arranged numerically.
