Extent
Two photographs in color film processed from 35mm negatives, and one betacam video recording (in
part) reviewed and processed.

Scope and Content
The material in FOIA 2009-1397-F are a selective, not necessarily all inclusive, body of documents
responsive to the topic of the FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials.
FOIA request 2009-1397-F includes one responsive master tape video recording from the White House
Television Office and two responsive photographs from the White House Photograph Office.
The responsive video footage consists of approximately 42 seconds of footage run time. The video
footage shows Brooksley Born and her guest Alex Bennett walking through the receiving line at the
State Dinner for Hungary on June 8, 1999. The responsive photographs concerning this case are from
the receiving line at the State Dinner for Hungary. President Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton, President
Goncz, and his wife Maria Zsuzsanna Gonter greet Brooksley Born and her guest Alex Bennett at the
dinner.

Records that were responsive to this FOIA request were found in two collection areas and two series—
Clinton Presidential Records: Photographs of the White House Photograph Office, and Video
Recordings of the White House Television Office, and the series therein—Photographs Relating to the
Clinton Administration, Video Recordings Relating to the Clinton Administration. Processing is done at
the Folder/Contact sheet level and Folder/Video tape level.

Description
An account of the resource
The White House Photograph Office was responsible for the official photography of the First Family and the Presidential administration. The primary duty of this office was to document the President, First Lady, and staff in their official capacities. The office handled media and personal requests for photographs of the President and administration.
Photograph contact sheets are produced from photographic negatives. Photographic images from a specific date or shoot are developed on 8 x 10 photographic print paper.
