Description
An account of the resource
Finding aids at the Clinton Presidential Library contain a detailed description of the collection including the total number of pages or photos and length of video and audio recordings. Finding aids also include background information of the collection’s topic and details on the record type (ex: email, memorandum, briefing book, Betacam video, audio cassette etc). <br /><br />Finding aids describe collections at the box and folder level, and include a folder title list and information about the arrangement of the collection. <br /><br /><strong>Please note the majority of collections have not yet been scanned nor made available online.</strong>

An account of the resource
This collection conists of records related to Jesse Helms. This is the third and final segment of this collection and is wide ranging, touching on topics such as human rights, Women’s rights, and chemical and nuclear weapons. Much of this collection is administrative in nature consisting of dialog and drafts between staff of the National Security Council. Discussions include China, Burma, Turkey, Cyprus, Iraq, and Iran among others. Also included is a large volume of records related to the acceptance and passage of treaties particularly the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), Convention on Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and the Law of the Sea (LOS).
