Scope and Content
The materials in FOIA 2006-0628-F are a selective, not necessarily all inclusive, body of documents
responsive to the topic of the FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials.
FOIA request 2006-0628-F consists of letters of condolence from President Clinton and one letter of
condolence from the First Lady to the surviving families of those who died along with the Secretary of
Commerce, Ron Brown, in the crash of a United States Air Force CT-43 passenger jet in Croatia on
April 3, 1996. Other material contained in this FOIA consists of lists and memos relating to memorial
and funeral services, brief background information concerning the victims of the crash, and contact
information pertaining to the next of kin.
System of Arrangement
Records that were responsive to this FOIA were found in one collection area - Clinton Presidential
Records: White House Staff and Office Files. As policy, Staff and Office Files are processed at the
folder level. That is, individual documents are not selected and removed from a folder for processing.
