Scope and Content
The materials in FOIA 2006-0448-F are a selective body of documents responsive to the topic of the
FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials.
FOIA request 2006-0448-F consists of records related to the President's Commission on Critical
Infrastructure Protection (PCCIP) that were formerly available on the U.S. Government website
www.pccip.gov . The President’s Commission was established in July 1996, by Presidential Executive
Order 13010 and was responsible for formulating a comprehensive national strategy for protecting the
infrastructures from physical and cyber threats. It was the first national effort to address vulnerabilities
created in the new information age. The records contain reports, brochures, press packets, news articles,
and video tapes. The reports contain the Advance copies and the Final copies of the Report of the
President’s Commission on Critical Infrstructure Protection and the Final Executive Summary. The
brochures, press packets, news articles, and video tapes all contain material about PCCIP.

�System of Arrangement
Records that were responsive to this FOIA request were found in one collection area – Clinton
Presidential Records: Staff and Office Files.
Staff and Office files are processed at the folder level, that is, individual documents are not selected and
removed from a folder for processing. While this method maintains folder integrity, it frequently results in
the incidental processing of documents that are not wholly responsive to the subject area.
Staff and Office files were maintained at the folder level by staff members within their individual offices and
document all levels of administration activity.
