This collection consists of correspondence related to vaccines and immunizations. The Childhood Immunization Initiative began in early 1993 to address low levels of immunizations throughout the United States. The Initiative included the Vaccines for Children Program (VFC), which became operational in 1994 and improved immunization outreach and access to immunizations for children.
