This collection consists of records regarding the relationship between President Lee Teng-hui of Taiwan (also known as the Republic of China or the ROC) and President Clinton. There were no official state visits by President Lee during the Clinton Administration, as the Untied States does not officially recognize the government of Taiwan. The collection primarily contains records regarding unofficial visits by President Lee to the United States in May 1995 and September 1995.
